ASUS G73JW-XA1 Reviews

The closest equivalent model to the Limited Edition (G73JW-ROG) appears to be the ASUS G73JW-A1. I’ll start off by highlighting the obvious benefits:

16GB 1333 RAM vs. 8GB 1333 RAM
Blue-Ray Burner vs. Blue-Ray Combo Drive
+1 year accidental damage warranty
4 GB SSD vs. no SSD (Not a huge selling point for me but nice)

I assume the A1 model also has Bluetooth but it does not mention it

Other small things:

-Dog tags (don’t care personally)
-Backpack does look different than what is in the pictures (might just be an outdated picture though)

I didn’t have a router so ended up going with Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router WNDR3700. Getting the laptop set up on the wireless network was a breeze and I am seeing very nice transfer rates (1.5MB/sec downloading a couple games off Steam)
